Black History Month

Celebrate Black History Month with diverse images that show the authentic moments between real families who are enjoying moments together. Black History Month has evolved and taken on new meanings, since the 1960’s after the civil rights movement there grew an ever increasing need to grow awareness and celebrate the sacrifices made by all those who have worked on paving the way to equality.  We recognize that the steps we take to building awareness _today_ are a fundamental part to creating the changes we still need in this world. He believes that is it important to represent black queer people with all types of gender expressions in photography. There is always beauty in human diversity and to be able to express that in the most visual medium is the epitome of true representation. I JEMIAH FIELDS is a 19 year old creative photographer based in Atlanta, Georgia. After a car accident in 2018 that caused her to lose her confidence in her former passion, dance - she was pushed to pursue an outlet for creativity in photographer. What was once a passion has now become a successful career.  APRIL LAWRENCE is a photographer and mother of 3 and a wife to her loving husband. She and her family live in Hawaii and April pursues her photography full time which has allowed her to establish a career and a name for herself on the island of Honolulu.
