1st photo: “The Ghana Flag”
This craft was created in Accra, Ghana at a shore of a beach. I created this very one with a good friend.
The Flag of Ghana represents the struggle, mineral wealth ,vegetation’s and African unity which consists of the Pan-African colours of red, gold ...nd green, in horizontal stripes, with a black five-pointed star in the centre of the gold stripe.
The skies and sailing boats represents the red colour in the flag which stands for the blood of those who died in the the country’s struggle for independence from the Great Britain; The waters represents the gold colour in the flag which embody the rich mineral wealth of the country; The soil represents the green colour in the flag which symbolizes the country’s profuse and affluent forests and natural wealth; The human bodies sit strong and firm, pointing high into the skies, which represents the black standing for freedom and independence.
2nd photo: “The at home series”
This image was shot in Accra, Ghana at home. I created this likeness during the lockdown period , I did shot this by myself making it difficult but still I achieved the look I was going for. It was a windy day and the sunlight was pleasing so I had to take the opportunity given to me. Using A bedsheet as my background to create a sort of clean, yet simplistic effect. I finally fathomed this ravishing print.
The meaning behind this shot , is to “stay focus in everything you do.”
3rd Photo: “Support Black Art & Creatives”
This image was shot in Accra, Ghana during the lockdown of the corona virus pandemic while the issues of killing black people was going on. I had to come out to shoot to shoot this wonderful image to share to the world telling them black lives really matter (#blacklivesmatter). Creating this image at the beach, with the cool breeze from the sea gave me much ideas on how to stand in front of the camera.
