1. Christina Hawatmeh, Founder and CEO of Scopio made two major announcements on Friday

A. Saved Boards, a feature that allows users to save and curate their own image bank has been released.

B. The coming release of the photographer portal, a system that will allow photographers to more easily navigate the photos they have featured and provide them with key insights about their photography analytics. 


 2. There was a devastating explosion in Beirut, Lebanon that was the result of 2,700 tons of ammonium nitrate being stored for over 5 years on the Port. This explosion has killed over 100 citizens and injured 1000's.

1 year ago Nour Chamoun, the Co-Founder of Scopio and also a citizen of Lebanon and Christina Hawatmeh the CEO partnered with Canva to go do a trip throughout the region and meet up capture the stories and images of the photographers and citizens in Beirut. 

The photo capture below was taken in front of the iconic Riviera Hotel in Beirut, and was featured in Forbes earlier this year.

Our thoughts remain with Beirut citizens during this time as they endure this critical situation during what was already a difficult time due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
