Animal Conservation Awareness*

"The Humboldt Penguins conservation status is now rated *Vulnerable meaning the population is decreasing due to the environment which threatens them. They were first affected by the mining of guano deposits, but through the mid 20th century they appeared to be recovering. However, recent changes driven by global warming, oil pollution, and fishing have now put them at risk of being endangered once again."
