How Do We Tell Scopio's Story?

We wanted to create a visual identity for Scopio that communicates the company's mission of "telling the story of every community around the world" and showing the type of representation in the diverse images that we'd all like to see everywhere around the world.

Designing a Visual Identity that Represents Diversity

In order to do this we partnered with this very talented creative agency based in Dubai called 'Abjad Design'. Together we explored ways of showing the color and the diversity of photographer perspectives through a simple logo.

We explored different approaches and came up with different iterations for the logo but in the end we landed on a perfect logo that is shaped like an aperture of the camera but abstracted to look like a window- this to us was very symbolic to Scopio, as our name stands for scope it out and the idea is to show the world of photographers and how it authentically captures their own community and their reality.

Why Is Authenticity in Photography Important?

Every community has a unique story to share, but when there are heavy  restrictions placed - it inhibits creatives from actually creating images that are representative and true. At Scopio it is important for us to humanize images and finally give creators an open space to feature their diverse images.
