Man holding a banner with " End Racism Now"

These photos were made during protests that occurred in Huntsville, Alabama after the murder of George Floyd at the hands of the Minneapolis police officers, the case of Breonna Taylor being shot to death in her home by Louisville police officers, and the shooting death of a local man named Dana Fletcher, shot and killed in front of his wife and eight-year-old daughter in the parking lot, just outside of the Planet Fitness in Madison, Alabama. There were other issues that were being addressed such as the need for removal of a statue erected by the Daughters of the Confederacy right outside of the Madison County courthouse, as well as the use of excessive force by local police, which was proven to be accurate minutes to hours after the photos of peaceful protesting that I am submitting were taken. Rubber bullets were shot directly at protesters causing terrible injuries, Tear gas and smoke bombs were employed to disperse the protestors, as well. There were no incidences of protestors provoking the force used to disperse them from the area.
