Treviso is a little gem about 30km away from Venice, in the North-East side of Italy. I grew up in the countryside not too far from the medieval centre of this beautiful city full of history and tradition. Thanks to the colors of the architecture and the narrow streets with their typical cobblestone paving, you might think you are walking in a Venice without its famous canals, even if some areas of Treviso are crossed by the important Sile river. It is definitely worth a stop here if you are thinking of a getaway to Venice.
